Protect finished floors from impact, scratches, dust, spills and construction traffic with reusable polypropylene floor protection sheets engineered for different job-site conditions.
POLYFAVO manufactures lightweight PP corrugated sheets and high-strength PP honeycomb panels for temporary surface protection. Available options include textured surfaces, PP fabric backing, custom cutting, printed logos and flame-retardant formulations.
Our floor protection products are suitable for commercial fit-outs, renovation projects, factories, airports, hospitals, shopping centers, hotels, data centers and other demanding construction environments.
Different areas of a construction site face different risks.
Pedestrian routes mainly require protection against dirt, paint and light impact. Finished timber, marble or tile floors need a soft backing to reduce scratching. Equipment routes require stronger panels with better impact and compression resistance. Some commercial projects also specify flame-retardant materials.
POLYFAVO provides two main temporary floor protection solutions:
| Product | Recommended Use | Typical Thickness | Main Advantage |
|---|---|---|---|
| PP corrugated floor protection sheet | Pedestrian areas, painting, decorating, moving and general renovation | 2–5 mm | Lightweight and economical |
| PP honeycomb floor protection panel | Commercial construction, high-traffic areas and heavier job-site conditions | 3–5 mm | Higher strength and impact resistance |
| Fabric-backed PP honeycomb panel | Timber, tile, marble, epoxy and other finished surfaces | 3–5 mm | Soft backing helps prevent scratches |
| Flame-retardant PP floor protection panel | Projects with specified fire-performance requirements | 3–5 mm | Flame-retardant PP formulation available |
| Cut and folded PP protectors | Stairs, corners, walls, doors and columns | Project-specific | Protects non-flat surfaces |
The POLYFAVO PP honeycomb floor protection panel uses a multi-layer polypropylene structure with a vacuum-formed internal core. The circular cells distribute pressure in multiple directions, creating a panel that is lightweight while offering greater rigidity and impact resistance than ordinary fluted plastic sheets.
It is designed for demanding construction projects where the protected surface may be exposed to:
Frequent worker traffic
Toolboxes and construction materials
Mobile scaffolding and carts
Falling hand tools
Equipment installation
Building refurbishment
Commercial interior fit-outs
Temporary material storage
For projects involving forklifts, scissor lifts or other heavy equipment, panel density, floor condition, wheel load and movement route must be evaluated. A project-specific trial or load test is recommended before use.
The panel should not be considered a substitute for engineered temporary roadways or structural load-distribution systems.

Final specifications should be selected according to the protected surface, expected traffic, equipment load and fire-performance requirements.
PP corrugated sheet is a lightweight temporary floor covering for general construction, painting, decorating, moving and refurbishment work.
Its twin-wall fluted structure provides better water resistance and reusability than ordinary corrugated cardboard. The sheets are easy to carry, cut and install, making them suitable for covering large areas quickly.
Typical applications include:
Residential renovation
Painting and decorating
Office refurbishment
Furniture installation
House moving
Exhibition construction
Light pedestrian routes
Wall and door protection
Protection against dust, paint and minor spills
PP corrugated floor protection is best suited to light and medium-duty conditions. It is not recommended for routes carrying heavy machinery unless a suitable load-spreading system has been designed and tested.

Wooden and laminate floors can be scratched by dust, sand, tools and sheet movement. A soft PP nonwoven backing can be laminated to the underside of the honeycomb panel to reduce direct abrasion.
Before installation, the floor should be clean and dry. The fabric side should face the finished surface.
Stone and tile surfaces require impact protection during equipment installation and interior construction. PP honeycomb panels help distribute localized loads and protect the surface from dropped tools and moving materials.
The correct panel thickness should be selected according to the expected traffic and point loads.
Newly installed epoxy floors can be damaged by scratches, construction debris, oils or chemicals. PP panels provide a water-resistant temporary barrier and can be removed after the project.
The coating must be fully cured before it is covered. Compatibility should be confirmed with the flooring supplier.
PP corrugated sheets can protect carpet from dust, dirt and light spills. The sheets should be secured at the joints without applying unsuitable adhesive directly to the carpet.
Panels can be cut and folded to protect elevator floors, walls, doors, corners and columns during material transportation or building renovation.
PP floor protection sheets can be collected, cleaned and reused when they remain undamaged. Reusability helps reduce the repeated purchase and disposal of single-use protection materials.
Polypropylene does not absorb water like ordinary cardboard. It provides temporary protection against paint, plaster, moisture and many common job-site spills.
Joints must be sealed correctly because liquids can still pass between or underneath individual sheets.
Large sheets can be carried and installed by
